Zac O’Yeah

Zac O’Yeah is a Bengaluru-based author originally from Sweden, who has published 18 books, including fiction and nonfiction bestsellers that have been translated into over 20 languages, several of his stories are being made into films, and he’s been short-listed for multiple awards such as the Swedish August Prize in 2008. In the 2010s, he published the Majestic Trilogy, a series of three detective novels set in his hometown Bengaluru. His latest book, the critically acclaimed and bestselling foodie memoir Digesting India (2023), is filled with the internationally celebrated author’s trademark humour. This book combines the three activities that Zac O’Yeah loves most — eating, drinking and travelling — in a delightful romp based on thirty years of trying to understand India through its food culture.
