Veerakaputra Shrinivasa was born and brought up in a poor family in Kolar district. After undergoing many difficulties he completed his graduation and moved to Bangalore. Starting his working life by doing very menial jobs with determination he soon built a company and nurtured it to success.
By being the leader of Vishnu Sena Samithi, he has spearheaded many social service works like blood donations, planting saplings, renovation of schools, and marching for good causes.
He has rendered great service to the field of literature by publishing 160 books, undertaking Kannada book sales, arranging competitions for Kannada writers and thus supporting Kannada literature.
In recognition of his services to the Kannada literary field, he has been bestowed with many prestigious awards.
