Usha Narasimhan

Born in Shivanasamudra , close to Mysore, Usha Narasimhan completed her education in institutions in Hassan and Mysore. After graduating, she got married and went to live in Mallasamudra and she lived as an ordinary farmer woman till 1993.
Meanwhile her service to Kannada literature went on without a break.
She has written and published many poetry collections, novels, short story collections, plays, radio plays, light and sound show scripts, essay collections and many more.
Among the inumerable prizes and awards that Usha Narasimhan has been honored with, Masti prize for novels and Attimabbe awards are notable.
Having interest and experience in varied fields like literature, theater, Radio and many more, she has enriched Kannada literature by her most valuable contributions.
