Krishna Manavalli is currently Professor of English at the University of Mysore. Krishna is a literary critic and translator who works in both English and Kannada languages. She has published extensively and presented at major international conferences and literary festivals.  A former member of the English Advisory Board of the Central Sahitya Akademi, she has translated the works of many renowned Kannada writers such as Chandrashekhar Kambar, Triveni, and Vijaya.  Krishna received the Karnataka Sahitya Academy Translation Award (2017).
