Sri Chanchalapathi Dasa was born in Bangalore, Karnataka. While a student at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, he became interested in the message and mission of Srila Prabhupada, the Founder Acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). He joined the prestigious Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore for the Masters programme in Electrical Communication Engineering. He became a full-time dedicated member of ISKCON Bangalore in 1984 and has conceived and led various spiritual, cultural and social development programmes in the service of humanity for more than four decades.
He is the Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of The Akshaya Patra Foundation which is currently serving more than 2.25 million children everyday in 23,000 schools and anganwadis across India.
He also led the creation of the ‘Little Krishna’, a popular world-class animation series on the childhood pastimes of Krishna, which has won multiple awards.
Sri Chanchalapathi Dasa is the Vice Chairman and Co-Mentor of the Global Hare Krishna Movement and Senior Vice President of ISKCON Bangalore. He is also the President of Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir, a unique cultural heritage infrastructure project poised to become the tallest temple of Lord Krishna in the world.
