Dharmendra Kumar

Dharmendra Kumar is a civil engineer from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering who spent over two decades in the Middle East and Africa before returning to his beloved Mysuru. Growing up on his grandmother’s stories of Mysore’s kings and queens, he developed a lasting fascination for the city’s rich past. His passion led him to write Maretu Hoda Mysoorina Pootagalu, a collection of forgotten tales, and to start Mysoorina Kathe Galu, a Kannada YouTube channel that brings history alive in simple, engaging ways. He is also a resource person for the Azim Premji Foundation and conducts workshops that inspire people to rediscover Karnataka’s heritage.
