Shubha Sanjay Urs, entrepreneur and textile consultant by profession, founded Mysuru Book Clubs and Mysuru Literary Forum Charitable Trust to give her passion and love for books a platform for like minded people to share the same love. The first ever Book Club was born with 20 zealous book worms. Today it has spawned into multiple clubs and hundreds of members. Today Mysuru can boast of several book clubs exclusively for children, differently abled, English and Kannada readers. She also organises storytelling sessions in orphanages and book readings at Senior Citizen homes.

Shubha has organized extensive author meets, book launches of known and new authors, and book discussions. A significant feather in her cap is the curation of Mysuru Literature Festival held every year starting 2017. Not to be undone during the pandemic years, Shubha went online to conduct the Virtual Mysuru Literature Festival in 2020 and 2021 where globally renowned authors and authors from India were invited to be on panels. The second virtual festival in 2021 also included Hybrid sessions which were very well attended.

A multi faceted person, Shubha is associated with several NGOs. She is involved with an NGO that strives to preserve and revive the traditional handicrafts and textiles of India. She is a member of the Craft Council of Karnataka (CCK) and World Craft Council. She was the Charter Chairperson of Ladies Circle in Coimbatore. Shubha is a subcommittee member of the International Music Arts Society, Bangalore, which has a 40-year history of inviting musicians from across the world to perform.
