Shanta Nagaraj is a retired Professor with rich teaching experience. A multi-faceted personality, Shanta has proved her mantle in the field of counseling, literature, theatre, art and craft. She started Akshara Samste for children after working with legendary B Jayshree’s theatre group Spandana. A trained and effective counselor, Ms Shanta Nagaraj counsels parents, children and juvenile offenders providing them solace and directing them in the right path. She has written many short stories, poems, novels, travelogues and articles in different magazines, newspapers and won many prestigious awards and accolades. Currently, after her retirement she continues counseling and training children from 14 government schools and also serves as the Editor of the children magazine “Kuhoo Kuhoo”.
