Professor C. Naganna is a poet, critic, translator, and public speaker. As an author, Prof. Naganna has published 50 books in Kannada and English.
He received all his higher education at Mysore University. Formerly, he was a Professor of Comparative Literature and Translation Studies at the University of Mysore and is currently a Visiting Professor at the same university. He was also the Director of the Publication Division of the University.
He was a member of the Kannada Advisor Committee of – Bharatiya Jnanpith, Saraswathi Sanman, Central Sahitya Akademi, and was also a member of the Karnataka Sahitya Academy.
Numerous organisations have felicitated and honoured him in recognition of his contribution to the fields of Language and Culture. Notably, he is the recipient of the Kannada Rajyothsava award 2023.
