Prathibha Chayapati
Hailing from Talaku village near Chitradurga, Prathibha Chayapati, completed her post graduate education from the university of Mysore , after getting a graduate degree from Kava in Mysore.
She worked as as fashion photographer to begin with and later on moved on to teaching at the CFTRI school in Mysore and then at the Presidency Group of Schools in Bangalore.
From 2022 she has been working as the publisher and distributer of Talukina Venkannayya Smaaraka Granthamaale publications.
Talukina Venkannayya Smaraka Granthamale was established by the brother of TS Venkannayya, TS Shama Rao, in memory of his late brother. Gradually his hobby became a profession. His son popularly known as the” saavira pustakagala saradaara” that is King of thousand books , TS Chayapati carried on the glorious tradition and continued to work at the publications. This publication has published two thousand books and twenty five authored books.
His daughter Prathibha Chayapati, took over the mantle of the publications and as per the grand tradition of the family continued to serve Kannada Literature. The publication has initiated a prestigious award called TS Chayapati cultural award to recognize and honor authors who have contributed significantly to Kannada literature.
