Bio

Mita Kapur is the founder and CEO of Siyahi, India’s leading literary consultancy. Her debut book, The F-Word, beautifully blends food, memoir, and travel, while she also edited Chillies and Porridge: Writing Food, a vibrant collection of essays. As a freelance journalist, Mita writes with warmth and insight on social issues, travel, and lifestyle. Honoured with awards like the Femina Women Super Achiever and Maharani Gayatri Devi Award, she is celebrated for her impactful journalism and literary vision. Mita has brought to life unique cultural experiences, from curating Jaipur’s Masala Chowk to producing the Woman Up! Summit, and for nearly a decade led the Mountain Echoes Bhutan Festival. She also served as literary director for the JCB Prize for Literature and is currently the curator of the Ceylon Literary and Arts Festival.
