Kusuma Ayarahalli

Kusuma is from Ayarahalli, a village near Mysore. She actively participated in many movements during her student days. She began her work in media by being active in ‘Akashavani’. For decades she worked as a dialogue and script writer for famous directors like Girish Kasaravalli and TN Seetharam. She has a wide experience including working for news media. Her debut book was a short story collection called “Yoltin keli”. She later went on to write a novel called
“Daari”. She has been the recipient of Dr. Has.maa. Nayak award and Kittu Rani Chennamma award. She is now active in agricultural work in Ayarahalli and also is Working for “Parisara Balaga” , a team which takes up lake restoration and other environment friendly tasks.
