Anuja Chauhan, often described as the “only writer of popular Indian fiction really worth buying” is the author of six best-selling novels – The Zoya factor, put in the world of international cricket, Battle for Bittora – which captures the hurly-burly of rural north Indian politics, Those Pricey Thakur Girls and The House that BJ built – mannered novels of families and romance set in the heart of Lutyens Delhi, the Air Force historical Baaz set in 1971, and the murder mystery Club You To Death.

She also works in advertising, where she is best known for Pepsi’s Nothing Official About it, Yeh Dil Maange More, Mera Number Kab Aayega, Oye Bubbly, Mirinda’s Jor ka Jhatka, Dheere se lagay, and Mountain Dew’s Darr Ke Aagey Jeet Hai.

All her books have been/are being adapted into movies or web series – The Zoya Factor by Fox Star Studios, Battle for Bittora by the Anil Kapoor Film Company, The Pricey Thakur Girls series by Disney-HotStar, Baaz by Yash Raj Films, and Club You To Death by Maddock Pictures. She writes a fortnightly column for The Week magazine titled Schizo-Nation.

She lives outside Bangalore with her husband Niret Alva, their three children, and a varying number of dogs and cats.
