Sri Hanumanth holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Trichur Engineering College. He worked in Salem for 7 years in the family textile business before shifting to Mysore in 1993. He started a layer poultry farm and ran it for 12 years. Later, he shifted his business to developing premium residential sites in Mysore.
He is passionate about nature and its conservation. He is part of an NGO, Junglescapes, which has been restoring degraded forest habitats in Bandipur Tiger Reserve since the past 13 years. They have restored about 12 Sq Km of forest so far. He is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Mysore west in Rotary District 3181. In this current year when Rotary International introduced ‘Supporting the Environment’ as its 7th Area of Focus, Hanumanth was nominated as the Environment Chair for the District. ESRAG, a worldwide action group of Rotarians, recently featured his work on propagation of bamboo seeds in their newsletter.
