Jameel Sawanna
Having failed in several business ventures and having taught design to scores of students Jameel Sawanna in 2009 started a publication company called “Sawanna Publication House” in the name of his father and made it a success.
His first publication was “I love you money” a translated book. His service to the literary world started from that book and his publishing house grew and it went on to publishing many books in record number of editions.
Not only stories, novels and translated books are published here but also many books on psychological, religious, scientific and economic topics.
To encourage new writers this publishing house gives prizes to upcoming writers who write in weekly magazines and later also publishes the prize winning stories.
“Amma Prashathi, Da. Ra. Bendre Prashasthi and Pustaka Ratna Prashathi” are some of the prestigious awards won by Jameel Sawanna and his publishing house.
