Hailing from Chitradurga-Davanagere, Indrakumar is a teacher in a government school.
He has published 5 short story collections, 4 novels and has been honored with two Book Brahma awards, first prize in Prajavani story writing competition, “Kuvempu prize”, by the Karnataka Sangha, “U.R.Ananthamurthy” prize, “G.S.Shivarudrappa” prize, “Besagarahalli Ramanna” story prize, H. Shantharam prize”, Basavaraja Kattimani prashasthi , “Aralu prashasthi” and many more. He won a gold medal at the Gulbarga university’s story writing competition.
His stories have been translated and published in Marathi and Malayalam. His story “Soojidaara” has been made into a movie. He has served as a resource person at the state level in creating school text books and training manuals. His novel of 1500 pages by the name “Innu Samudra…” Is ready for publication.
