Gopala Krishna Pai ‘s magnum opus, “Svapna Saraswatha”, though originally in Kannada, has been translated into several languages including English. This book has been honored with the prestigious Sahitya Academy award. The book has been the subject of research works for many MPhil and PHD students.
He has also authored many short story collections, novels and translated works.
Well known for his fictional work, the writer’s screen play for Girish Kasaravalli’s film has won the national award.
All the five screenplays written by him have been honored with, either national or state awards.
He has coauthored with Girish Kasaravalli and brought out a book, ” Bimba Bimbana” based on the films of Kasaravalli.
