Shri Ganesh Ameengad, a journalist, writer, publisher, and columnist, hails from Ameengad in Bagalkot. He holds M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Kannada. He has worked as a journalist for several reputed Kannada publications such as Sudha, Prajavani, Samyukta Karnataka, and Karmaveera.
He has authored several acclaimed books, including collections of essays on theatre, compilations of research articles, and anthologies of plays, such as Ranga Prasanga and others.
Ganesh has received numerous awards for his contributions, including the Sedam Amma Award, Karnataka Nataka Academy Award, Karnataka Sahitya Academy Book Prize, and the Sahitya Shree Award from the Karnataka Sahitya Academy in 2021.
