Dr. Deepa Malik, Padma Shri, Khel Ratna, and Arjuna Awardee, is India’s first woman Paralympic medalist. Paraplegic for over 25 years, she’s a rallyist, swimmer, biker, and Limca record-holder with 23 international and 68 national medals. Former President of the Paralympic Committee of India and now South Asia’s representative on the Asian Paralympic Committee, she led India to record medal tallies at the Tokyo Paralympics and Asian Para Games 2023. An Army wife and daughter, she champions inclusion through her foundation Wheeling Happiness and is a brand ambassador for Swachh Bharat, TB Mukt Bharat and Viksit Bharat.
