Aroon Raman has Masters Degree in Economics from JNU, Delhi and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA, majoring in both Finance and Marketing. He has built his advanced applied materials companies to world-class levels and successfully divested them to multinationals such as ABB in Switzerland and the Hollingsworth & Vose Company, USA – both world leaders in power engineering and energy storage. His is model of disruptive innovation using local grassroots talent has won critical acclaim. He served as Chairman, CII Karnataka in 2010 when he was awarded the Karnataka Rajyotsava for his contribution to the industrial development of the state.
Aroon now wears multiple hats. He is a thriller writer with three national bestsellers to his credit. His third novel, Skyfire, was released in October 2016 and was made into an 8-part television series. He has also written for The Hindu Sunday Magazine and Outlook – where his columns are among the most widely followed.
Aroon has travelled widely, actively seeking strange people in even stranger places. He been in many adventures – including a nine-day stint in Tihar Jail, has chased ghosts and has had many close encounters with the unexpected. These experiences form the basis of his storytelling: designed to keep the audience hooked to their seats!
