Vivek Shanbhag is the author of thirteen works of fiction in Kannada. His novel, Ghachar Ghochar, has been translated into more than 20 languages. He is the co-translator of U R Ananthamurthy’s book ‘Hindutva or Hind Swaraj’ into English. Vivek is a Visiting Professor of Creative Writing at the Ashoka University, Delhi, India. He is the founder of Hyphen, a literary journal and publishing house dedicated to translating Indian-language literature into English. He is an engineer by training and lives in Bangalore.
