She has served on the board of the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun and was a member of the State Wildlife Board of Tamil Nadu. Dr. Davidar conducts ecological research in the Western Ghats and the Andaman islands. She has published over 100 scientific papers and edited two books. An activist in the field of wildlife conservation, she has published over 100 scientific papers and edited two books.
