A Nationally and Internationally renowned humourist, eminent Kannada scholar, conscientious academician Prof. Krishne Gowda has been a household name among Kannadigas all over. TV viewers are well aware of his eloquence in Harate programme in Udaya TV. A gold medalist in Kannada MA from University of Mysore, he recently retired as Principal of St Philomena’s College Mysuru, after 34 years of service. He is also known to the public as a film and tele-serial actor, theatre artist, lyricist for Kannada movies and columnist. The collection of his articles as Jalada Kannu has been published in three volumes.
