Former Editor of Samachar for nearly 40 years (until it became a digital edition), G Satyanarayana (Gouri Satya) has donned many caps. He is now the Chief Editor and CEO of the site, mysoresamachar.com. The Gouri family is known for their contribution to journalism and tourism in Mysore. He has served various national newspapers like the Indian Express, The Times of India and the Business Standard; and regional language newspapers like the Samyukta Karnataka and Kannada Prabha. He has written a number of articles under the pen name, ‘Gauri Satya’. He has written several books which have seen reprints.“Mysuru Memories – the Old City of Mysuru”, published by the Department of Archaeology, Museums & Heritage, Mysuru, released by then Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in 2018 and introduced to Kannada listeners in audio Radio, ‘Kittaaki’, San Francisco, US. Gouri Satya has been conferred several awards and recognitions including the Karnataka Press Academy.
