Dr. Prithvi Datta Chandra Shobhi is a Social Historian and Politica Commentator. ​His research interests include history of dissent, intellectual and religious imaginations, literature and political theory. ​His doctoral work on the relationship of Vachana poetry and Virashaiva-Lingayat community is forthcoming. He is the editor of three books and has published widely on literature, culture and politics of Karnataka, both in scholarly forums and popular media.
