Javareppa – The then little boy who helped M. N. Srinivas, the author of Remembered Village is one of the main characters in the book which was written 71 years back. A successful entrepreneur, Shri Javareppa is the founder of ‘Shree’ theater in Mysore, and was also the owner of ‘Kodagalli Motor services’ – the bus service which used to run from Mysore to Bannur. Currently in his 80s, Shri Javareppa has returned to his native where his ardent concern for society and the deep desire to uplift his fellow beings has rightly taken him to the ‘Patel’ position of his beloved village Kodagalli.
