Dharmendra Kumar

Shri. Dharmendra Kumar qualified as a civil engineer from the JCE in Mysore. Later pursuing his profession, he spent two decades in the Gulf countries. As he grew up in Mysore, during those school days, he heard many stories about the kings and queens of Mysore from his grandmother. As a result, he developed a keen interest in Mysore. Hence, he wrote his first book, “Maretu Hoda Mysoorina Putagalu.”
Due to his interest in history and past events, he has written extensively online about them. Also, he has conducted many workshops on account of students of schools and colleges under the Azim Premji Foundation. He has also been a very active member of the Kempe Gowda memorial statue committee, BBMP heritage committee, and the Mysore heritage conservation committee. In addition, he teaches history to more than 600 students in Gokarna to the students of Shri Raghaveshvara Bharati Ashram schools.
