Vikram Kirloskar

Graduate in Mechanical Engineering, MIT Vikram Kirloskar is currently the Chairman and Managing Director, Kirloskar Systems, Vice-Chairman, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts. Director at  Kirloskar Brothers, Kirloskar Pneumatic, Kirloskar Oil Engines. He was involved in opening the import licensing for capital equipment while serving on the Government’s Development Council for Machine Tools in the late 1980’s. He has also served as the President of The Central Manufacturing Institute in Bangalore. He continues to serve on the National Council of CII and is Chairman of the Technology committee. He also serves on the Govt. of India Development Council for Automobiles and the National council for Electric Mobility. Vikram has led joint ventures with Toyota. He is a member of Education Council for India, MIT, National Council, and Confederation of Indian Industry. He is involved in many activities at MIT and serves on the Educational council. Vikram also serves on the Board of Trustees of The Rhode Island School of Design. His interests are diverse and interesting as his achievements – aero modelling, swimming, golf, tennis cooking, painting, sculpture, and Western and Indian classical music.
