His Excellency Mr. Venu Rajamony has a 34-year career in diplomacy and international affairs. He has an extensive experience in government relations, advocacy, communication, media relations, and outreach to corporates, civil society and public. Mr. Rajamony has lived and worked in India, the US, Europe, China and UAE. He is currently the Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of the Netherlands( since June 8, 2017). He is the Permanent Representative of India to the Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and is also responsible for India’s relations with the International Court of Justice, the Permanent Court of Arbitration and other legal institutions in The Hague. He has authored three books: India and the Netherlands – Past, Present and Future; What We Can Learn From The Dutch; Rebuilding Kerala Post Floods of 2018 and India and the UAE – In celebration of a legendary friendship. His monograph – India – China – US : A Soft Balance of Power System in the Making is widely cited. Mr. Rajamony is passionate about social impact and is eager to contribute to making the world a better place for the disadvantaged and underprivileged.
