Chaitra Shivayogimath from Bangalore with her roots from Muddebihal of Vijayapura District, is an MTech graduate in Electronics and Telecommunication from VTU working as a Cyber Security Engineer in Bangalore.
She is Passionate about poetry and has published her first Kannada poetry collection “Petrichor” in the year 2022 and Translation of Pulitzer award winning US Poet Mary Oliver’ selected poems to kannada published as “Akasha Nadi Bayalu” in the year 2025. Petrichor has gained attention of the kannada literary world for its fresh voice and has won several prestigious awards such as “Smt.Sharada Ramalingappa Datti Award by Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Sedam’s Amma Prashasti, Manvi’s Prarthana Sahitya Prashasti, appreciation by Avva Pustakalaya’s annual awards.” She is keen and enthusiastic in bringing poetry from other languages to Kannada. Her translations and poetry has been published by various magazines.
