A S Dulat served as the head of the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW), India’s spy agency, under Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. His book Kashmir: The Vajpayee Years created a lot of media speculation. He co-authored ‘The Spy Chronicles: RAW, ISI and the Illusion of Peace’ with Asad Durrani, former head of the ISI.
